Therapeutic indications:
A device used to collect blood lost by a patient during surgery or as a result of trauma. The blood components are separated through the use of centrifugation and the red cells washed to remove haemolysed particles and contaminants. The resultant suspension of red blood cells in a saline solution is then available for re-infusion to the patient immediately or up to 6 hours post collection.?
