You may need to stop taking the tablets slowly as they may alter your kidney function. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE IMMEDIATELY AND CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU SUFFER AN ALLERGIC REACTION AFTER TAKING THIS MEDICINE. An allergic reaction may include itching, a rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat with difficulty in swallowing or breathing. Clinical particulars 4.1 Therapeutic indications Prevention and treatment of scurvy. 4.2 Posology and method of administration Posology _Adults and children over 6 years:_ Prophylactic: 25 – 75 mg daily. Note: This unit dosage form is unsuitable for prophylactic use. Therapeutic: Not less than 250mg daily in divided doses.
