EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine has a long bronchodilator effect by a beta 2 adrenergic
receptor stimulating
action and by a muscarinic receptor antagonist action. This will help
relieve symptoms such as
breathing difficulty caused by airway obstruction.
It is usually used to treat Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
(chronic
bronchitis/pulmonary emphysema). It should not be used to promptly
relieve acute
exacerbation of symptoms. It is not used for the treatment of
bronchial asthma.
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
MEDICINE.BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR
AND PHARMACIST.
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch,
rash, etc.) to any medicines
or foods.
If you have: angle-closure glaucoma, difficulty in urination due to
prostate hypertrophy, etc.,
hyperthyroidism, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus,
prostatic hypertrophy
(except in the presence of dysuria) or bronchial asthma.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may
interact to enhance or
diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and
dietary supplements
as well as other prescription medicines.)
