Further information 1.  WHAT AETHOXYSKLEROL 3% IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR Different concentrations of Aethoxysklerol are required, depending on the size of the varicose veins to be obliterated (sclerosed). Aethoxysklerol 3% is used as a liquid for – sclerotherapy of medium-sized to large varicose veins (varices) – sclerotherapy of haemorrhoidal disease (1st and 2nd degree) and as a foam for sclerotherapy of large varicose veins (varices). When several concentrations are listed as treatment, the vein diameter and the patient’s individual situation should be considered.
