NÃO UTILIZE ACYCLOVIR DENK 200
se tem alergia (hipersensibilidade)
ao aciclovir, valaciclovir ou a qualquer
outro componente de Acyclovir
Denk 200.
TOME ESPECIAL CUIDADO COM
ACYCLOVIR DENK 200
– Se sofrer de insuficiência renal, é
necessária uma adaptação da dosa-
gem. Em pacientes de idade avança-
da, é frequente haver insuficiência
renal. Possivelmente, o seu médico
irá controlar regularmente a sua fun-
ção renal.
– Se sofrer de insuficiência renal, ou a
produção de urina diminuir forte-
mente, não deverá tomar Acyclovir
Denk 200 como profilaxia.
– Se tomar Acyclovir Denk 200 em
doses elevadas, deverá consumir bas-
tantes líquidos.
– Na presença de graves distúrbios do
sistema autoimune.
AO UTILIZAR ACYCLOVIR DENK 200 COM
OUTROS MEDICAMENTOS
Informe o seu médico ou farmacêutico
se estiver a tomar ou tiver tomado
recentemente outros medicamentos,
incluindo medicamentos obtidos sem
receita médica.
O efeito de Acyclovir Denk 200 é pro-
longado se tomar simultaneamente
– probenecida (medicamento para o
tratamento de níveis elevados de
ácido úrico no sangue),
– cimetidina (medicamento para dimi-
nuição da produção de ácido gástri-
co),
– micofenolato de mofetil (medica-
mento para evitar reações de rejei-
ção a transplantes).
Contudo, não é necessário adaptar a
dosagem.
GRAVIDEZ E ALEITAMENTO
Consulte o seu médico ou farmacêuti-
co antes de tomar qualquer medica-
mento.
Se for necessário um tratamento
durante gravidez, os benefícios devem
ser cuidadosamente avaliados por um
médico contra os possíveis riscos.
O aciclovir foi detectado no leite das
mães que estão a amamentar depois
da sua administração. Por conseguinte,
este não deve ser administrado em
mães que estejam a amamentar.

CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Herpes simplex, especially herpes genitalis infections of the skin and
mucous membranes
(primary and frequently recurring herpes genitalis).
An attempt at preventive treatment is indicated in adult patients
suffering from very severe
forms of very frequently recurring genital herpes simplex infections.
4.2
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
FOR ADULTS
For herpes simplex infections:
One single dose of 200 mg aciclovir (1 tablet) 5 times throughout the
day at intervals of
4 hours.
For prophylaxis against severe forms and very frequently recurring
genital herpes simplex
infections:
Immunologically healthy patients are given a single dose of 200 mg
aciclovir (1 tablet)
4 times daily at intervals of 6 hours.
Alternatively, 400 mg aciclovir (2 Acyclovir Denk 200 tablets) can
also be administered daily
at intervals of 12 hours. In individual cases, effective prophylaxis
can also be achieved with a
dosage of 200 mg aciclovir 3 times daily at intervals of 8 hours or
200 mg aciclovir twice
daily at intervals of 12 hours.
If recurrence (breakthrough infection) occurs despite this daily total
dose of 800 mg, 200 mg
aciclovir should be administered 5 times throughout the day at
intervals of 4 hours for 5 days,
as stated in the dosage for herpes simplex infections. Thereafter, the
above dosage is given
again.

For prophylaxis, immunosuppressed patients are given a single dose of
200 mg aciclovir
(1 tablet) 4 times daily at intervals of 6 hours.
Severely immunosuppressed patients, e.g. after organ transplants, can
be administered a
single dose of 400 mg aciclovir (2 tablets) four times daily at
intervals of 6 hours.
