STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
WARNING:
Avoid
storage
in
cold
conditions.
Gradual
crystallisation
may
occur
at
low
temperatures
(<~5°C)
resulting
in
separation
of
the
active
ingredient.
If
the
product has crystallised, gently warm the product (in its
original container) by placing it in warm water. Do not let
the water temperature exceed 45°C.
Store
in
the
closed,
original
container
in
a
cool,
well-
ventilated area. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in
direct sunlight.
Triple
or
preferably
pressure
rinse
containers
before
disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. DO NOT dispose of
undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, replace cap and
return clean containers to recycler or designated collection
point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury
empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is
available bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal
pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear
of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty
containers and product should not be burnt.
DISPOSAL OF TREATED GRAIN DUST: Treated grain dust may
have an unacceptably high content of pirimiphos-methyl,
and should be disposed of by burial in a disposal pit
specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of
waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots.
SAFETY DIRECTIONS
Product is poisonous if absorbed by skin contact, inhaled
or
swallowed.
Repeated
minor
exposure
may
have
a
cumulative poisoning effect. Avoid contact with eyes and
skin. DO NOT inhale spray mist. When preparing spray and
using the prepared spray for space applications wear:
•
elbow-length PVC gloves and face shield.
When using in enclosed areas wear:
•
elbow-length PVC gloves; and
•
full facepiece respirator with combined dust and gas
cartridge.
If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap and
water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking,
wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water.
