WHAT ACQUIN ASPEN IS USED FOR ACQUIN ASPEN is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension). It is also used to treat heart failure. It contains the active ingredient quinapril hydrochloride. HYPERTENSION ACQUIN ASPEN is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension). Everyone has blood pressure. This pressure helps get your blood all around your body. Your blood pressure may be different at different times of the day, depending on how busy or worried you are. You have hypertension (high blood pressure) when your blood pressure stays higher than is needed, even when you are calm and relaxed. There are usually no symptoms of hypertension. The only way of knowing that you have hypertension is to have your blood pressure checked on a regular basis. If high blood pressure is not treated it can lead to serious health problems, including stroke, heart disease and kidney failure. Quinapril hydrochloride (CAS no. 82586-55-8) is chemically described as 3-Isoquinolinecarboxylic acid, 2-[2-[[1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-phenylpropyl]amino]- 1-oxopropyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-,monohydrochloride, [3_S_-[2[_R_*(_R_*)],3_R_*]] or (_S_)-2-[(_S_)-_N_- [(_S_)-1-Carboxy- 3-phenylpropyl] alanyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-3-isoquinolinecarboxylic acid, 1-ethyl ester, monohydrochloride.
