Manufacturer and Product Registration Holder 10.Date of revision WHAT _TUSS-DEX _IS USED FOR For relief of dry cough due to minor throat and respiratory irritation, nasal and sinus congestion, sneezing and runny nose associated with the common cold and allergic rhinitis. HOW _TUSS-DEX _WORKS _Tuss-Dex _ contains pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, which is a decongestant that relieves nasal and sinus congestion and triprolidine hydrochloride which is an antihistamine that helps stop sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. BEFORE YOU USE _TUSS-DEX _ _- When you must not use it _ _ _ Do not take _ Tuss-Dex_ if • if allergic to other antihistamine or to its active ingredients or to other ingredients in it. _ _ • If you are taking, or have taken in the last two weeks, medicines for depression known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). _ _ _- Before you start to use it _ Please inform doctor before you start to use Tuss-Dex Syrup if you have high blood pressure or heart disease, asthma, liver problems, glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye), hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland) and prostate enlargement. Safety for use in pregnancy has not been established. It should not be used in nursing mothers. Get advice from a doctor or pharmacist if cough persists after medication has been used for 7 days.
