WHAT SUNVASC 5 TABLET IS USED FOR
Sunvasc 5 Tablet is used for the treatment of
high
blood
pressure,
myocardial
ischemia
(heart
attack),
specifically
stable
angina
and/or
Prinzmetal’s/variant
angina,
either
alone or in combination with other drugs.
HOW SUNVASC 5 TABLET WORKS
The active ingredient in the medicine is
‘Amlodipine Besylate’. This belongs to a
group of medicines called ‘calcium chan-
nel blocker ’. It reduces blood pressure by
relaxing the blood vessels.
BEFORE YOU USE SUNVASC 5 TABLET
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take
Sunvasc 5 Tablet if
you are
hypersensitive
to
Amlodipine
Besylate,
or
any of the other ingredients listed at the end
of the leaflet.
_- Before you start to use it _
You should check with your doctor before
taking Sunvasc 5 Tablet if you are:

pregnant, think you are pregnant, planning
for
pregnancy
or
breast-feeding
before
using any medicine.

The use in children is not recommended and
use with caution in patient with impaired liver
function.
