PREZISTA, co administered with low dose ritonavir is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV 1) infection in adult and paediatric patients from the age of 3 years and at least 15 kg body weight. PREZISTA, co administered with cobicistat is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV 1) infection in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older, weighing at least 40 kg). In deciding to initiate treatment with PREZISTA co administered with cobicistat or low dose ritonavir, careful consideration should be given to the treatment history of the individual patient and the patterns of mutations associated with different agents. Genotypic or phenotypic testing (when available) and treatment history should guide the use of PREZISTA. PREZISTA, co administered with low dose ritonavir is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products for the treatment of patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV 1) infection. PREZISTA 75 mg, 150 mg, and 600 mg tablets may be used to provide suitable dose regimens:For the treatment of HIV 1 infection in antiretroviral treatment (ART) experienced adult patients, including those that have been highly pre treated. For the treatment of HIV 1 infection in paediatric patients from the age of 3 years and at least 15 kg body weight. In deciding to initiate treatment with PREZISTA co administered with low dose ritonavir, careful consideration should be given to the treatment history of the individual patient and the patterns of mutations associated with different agents. Genotypic or phenotypic testing (when available) and treatment history should guide the use of PREZISTA. PREZISTA, co administered with low dose ritonavir is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products for the treatment of patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV 1) infection. PREZISTA 400 mg and 800 mg tablets may be used to provide suitable dose regimens for the treatment of HIV 1 infection in adult and paediatric patients from the age of 3 years and at least 40 kg body weight who are:antiretroviral therapy (ART) naïve. ART experienced with no darunavir resistance associated mutations (DRV RAMs) and who have plasma HIV 1 RNA < 100,000 copies/ml and CD4+ cell count ≥ 100 cells x 106/L. In deciding to initiate treatment with PREZISTA in such ART experienced patients, genotypic testing should guide the use of PREZISTA.

QU’EST-CE QUE PREZISTA ? PREZISTA contient la substance active darunavir. PREZISTA est un médicament antirétroviral utilisé dans le traitement de l’infection par le Virus d’Immunodéficience Humaine (VIH). Il appartient à la classe des médicaments appelés inhibiteurs de la protéase. PREZISTA agit en diminuant la quantité de VIH dans votre corps. Ceci améliorera votre système immunitaire et diminuera le risque de développer des maladies liées à l’infection par le VIH. DANS QUEL CAS EST-IL UTILISÉ ? PREZISTA est utilisé pour traiter les adultes et les enfants à partir de l’âge de 3 ans et pesant au moins 15 kilogrammes, qui sont infectés par le VIH (voir COMMENT PRENDRE PREZISTA). 1 ANNEXE I RÉSUMÉ DES CARACTÉRISTIQUES DU PRODUIT 2 1. DÉNOMINATION DU MÉDICAMENT PREZISTA 100 mg/ml suspension buvable 2. COMPOSITION QUALITATIVE ET QUANTITATIVE Chaque ml de suspension buvable contient 100 mg de darunavir (sous forme d’éthanolate). Excipient à effet notoire : parahydroxybenzoate de méthyle sodique (E219) 3,43 mg/ml. Pour la liste complète des excipients, voir rubrique 6.1. 3. FORME PHARMACEUTIQUE Suspension buvable Suspension opaque blanche à blanchâtre 4. DONNÉES CLINIQUES 4.1 INDICATIONS THÉRAPEUTIQUES PREZISTA, co-administré avec une faible dose de ritonavir, est indiqué en association avec d’autres médicaments antirétroviraux, pour le traitement de l’infection par le virus de l'immunodéficience humaine (VIH-1) chez les adultes ainsi que chez la population pédiatrique à partir de l’âge de 3 ans et pesant au moins 15 kg (voir rubrique 4.2). PREZISTA, co-administré avec le cobicistat, est indiqué en association avec d’autres médicaments antirétroviraux, pour le traitement de l’infection par le virus de l'immunodéficience humaine (VIH-1) chez les adultes et les adolescents (à partir de 12 ans, pesant au moins 40 kg) (voir rubrique 4.2). Lors de l'instauration du traitement par PREZISTA co-administré avec du cobicistat ou avec une faible dose de ritonavir, les antécédents thérapeutiques de chaque patient et les profils de résistance associés aux différents antirétroviraux devront être évalués avec attention. Les tests de résistance génotypique et phénotypique (lorsqu'ils sont disponibles) et les antécédents thérapeutiques doivent guider l’utilisation de PREZISTA (voir rubriques 4.2, 4.4 et 5.1). 4.2 POSOLOGIE ET MODE D’ADMINISTRATION Le traitement doit être initié par un médecin expérimenté dans la prise en charge de l’infection par le VIH.
