WHAT PABRON COUGH-D IS
USED FOR
PABRON COUGH-D is indicated for
the
relief
of
dry
cough
and
nasal
congestion.
HOW PABRON PABRON
COUGH-D WORKS
PABRON
COUGH-D
contains
triprolidine
hydrochloride
(HCl),
pseudoephedrine
hydrochloride
(HCl) and dextromethorphan HBr as
active ingredients.
TRIPROLIDINE
HYDROCHLORIDE
(HCL)
belongs
to
a
group
of
medicines
called
antihistamines.
It
works
by
blocking a certain natural substance
(histamine)
that
your
body
makes
during an allergic reaction.
PSEUDOEPHEDRINE
HYDROCHLORIDE
(HCL)
is a decongestant that shrinks
blood vessels in the nasal passages.
This leads to clearing of the stuffy or
blocked nose.
DEXTROMETHORPHAN HYDROBROMIDE
(HBR)
is a cough suppressant which
has central action on the cough center
in the medulla (a part of brain). It has
very little sedative activity.
