For the treatment of mastitis in lactating cows

Active Constituent:
Each single dose injector contains Penicillin G Procaine 1,000,000iu
(1,000mg).
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of mastitis in lactating cows, caused by
Gram-positive organisms.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use for the treatment of infections caused by organisms known
to be resistant to penicillin. Do not
use in cows with a known history of sensitivity to penicillin or its
analogue.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Milk out the infected quarter completely. Clean teat thoroughly,
especially the end, with cotton wool
soaked in alcohol. Allow to dry. Twist and remove the cap from the
injector ensuring the exposed nozzle
remains clean and sterile, and carefully insert a short distance into
the teat canal. Infuse the entire
contents slowly into the infected quarter. Dip or spray teat with a
recognized teat antiseptic as soon as
possible after infusion.
DOSE REGIME
The entire contents of one injector should be infused into the teat
canal of each infected quarter
immediately following milking and repeated every 12 hours for three
treatments. The teat may be gently
massaged to disperse the suspension upwards into the quarter. Three
injectors per quarter provide a full
course of treatment.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS

EXCEEDING THE RELEVANT MRL IN THE _
_FOOD NOTICE: MAXIMUM RESIDUE LEVELS FOR AGRICULTURAL COMPOUNDS. _
Milk – Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be
discarded during treatment and for not less
than 10 milkings or approximately 120 hours following the last
treatment.
Meat – Cows producing meat or offal for human consumption must not
be sold for slaughter, either
during treatment, or within 30 days of the last treatment.
