Manufacturer and Product registration holder 10. Date of revision WHAT ELEPSIA IS USED FOR ELEPSIA is used to control epilepsy. Epilepsy is a condition where you have repeated seizures (fits). There are many different types of seizures, ranging from mild to severe. ELEPSIA is used alone in the treatment of partial seizures in patients from 16 years of age. ELEPSIA is used in patients who are already taking other anti-epileptic medicines in the treatment of partial seizures in adults and children from 4 years of age in the treatment of myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy in the treatment of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age with Idiopathic Generalised Epilepsy. HOW ELEPSIA WORKS ELEPSIA contain the active ingredient levetiracetam, which belongs to a group of medicines called antiepileptics. These medicines are thought to work by controlling brain chemicals which send signals to nerves so that seizures do not happen. ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT WHY ELEPSIA HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED FOR YOU. Your doctor may have prescribed it for another reason. This medicine is available only with a doctor’s prescription. ELEPSIA are available as 250 mg and 500 mg film coated tablets.
