Do not swallow! This medicine is intended for
external use only.
IF YOU HAVE ACCIDENTALLY TAKEN AN OVERDOSE,
OR IF A CHILD HAS ACCIDENTALLY SWALLOWED THE
MEDICINE,
refer immediately to a doctor or to a
hospital emergency room and bring the medicine
package with you.
IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE THIS MEDICINE AT THE USUAL
TIME,
do not take a double dose. Take your next dose
at the usual time and consult a doctor.
Adhere to the treatment regimen recommended
by the doctor.
Do not take medicines in the dark! Check the label
and the dose each time you take a medicine. Wear
glasses if you need them.
IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING USE OF
THIS MEDICINE, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST.
4. SIDE EFFECTS:
As with any medicines, CHLORPHENICOL SKIN
OINTMENT use may cause side effects in some
users. Do not be alarmed when reading this list of
side effects. You may not suffer from any of them.
SIDE EFFECTS THAT REQUIRE SPECIAL ATTENTION:
Stop taking your medicine and tell your doctor or
pharmacist immediately if you experience the
following side effects:
• Allergy reaction with: Wheeziness (shortness of
breath), fever, swelling of face, lips or tongue, itching
or rash with swelling of the skin (the rash could be
accompanied by swelling (puffy) with skin color
change, or look like little blisters), sores in the mouth
or sore throat that causes difficulty in swallowing or
breathing. Swelling of hands, feet or ankles: Contact
your doctor immediately!
• A decrease in blood counts that is expressed by
fever, sore throat, fatigue, bleeding, weakness or
hypersensitivity reaction manifested by redness,
irritation, rash, itching, swelling or local infection (that
did not exist before using this medicine), bleeding
or easily injury - Bruising (rare) stop treatment and
consult a doctor.
• Being unable to overcome an infection
• In rare cases, the use of Chloramphenicol may
cause changes in blood cells (signs will be severe
fatigue or easy bruising)

end of treatment:
