COMPOSITION
Each 100 g contains:
Amoxycillin (as trihydrate) 50 g
INDICATIONS
Treatment of diseases caused by gram-positive and gram negative
bacteria sensitive to amoxycillin. Major
indications are against gastro-intestinal and respiratory tract
infections in fowls.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Amoxycillin is a broad spectrum semi-synthetic penicillin whichis
bactericidal against a wide range of Gram-
negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It is rapidly absorbed after oral
administration and is widely distributed to
various tissues.
_In vitro _sensitivity does not necessarily mean _in vivo _efficacy.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Do not use in fowls producing eggs for human consumption.
Do not use in cases of sensitivity to penicillin and renal
insufficiency.
Persons who are hypersensitive to penicillins should not handle this
product.
Do not use in lagomorphs and rodents (rabbits, guinea pigs,hamsters or
gerbils and chinchillas) because a
bacterial superinfection is usually induced.
Caution is advised in use in any other very small herbivores.
WARNINGS AND WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Withdrawal time for meat: 24 hours.
NOT TO BE USED IN FOWLS PRODUCING EGGS FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The dosage is 20 mg of amoxycillin trihydrate per kg body mass in
fowls per day for 3 to 5 days, administered
through the drinking water.
In drinking water, use 40 grams of VETRIMOXIN
® 50 per ton of body mass.
The medicated water should be prepared fresh, every 12 hours.
Each jar is provided with a sampling spoon that is NOT to be used as a
measuring/dosing spoon.
