SWITCH HI-MINERAL ORAL DRENCH FOR SHEEP
CONTAINS: 1 g/L abamectin, 40 g/L levamisole HCl, 0.5 g/L SELENIUM (as
sodium
selenate) and 2.2 g/L cobalt (as disodium cobalt EDTA).
SWITCH Hi-Mineral contains abamectin, a member of the macrocyclic
lactone family;
and levamisole HCl, a member of the imidazothiazole class of
anthelmintics. These
actives are effective against internal parasites sensitive to these
families, including
lungworm.
INDICATIONS:
SHEEP: GASTROINTESTINAL PARASITES: For the treatment and control of
the following
mature and immature gastrointestinal parasites (*includes inhibited
fourth stage larvae):
_Ostertagia circumcincta*, Haemonchus contortus*, Trichostrongylus
axei, _
_Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Cooperia curticei*, Cooperia
oncophora*, Cooperia _
_punctata*, Trichuris ovis, Chabertia ovina, Oesophagostomum
venulosum, Strongyloides _
_papillosus, Nematodirus filicollis _and_ Nematodirus spathiger. _
ANTHELMINTIC-RESISTANT STRAINS: SWITCH Hi-Mineral is effective against
those
gastrointestinal worms that have resistance to either
avermectin/milbemycin,
benzimidazole or levamisole/morantel anthelmintic action families.
LUNGWORM: _Dictyocaulus filaria_
Resistance may develop to any anthelmintic. It is advisable that a
resistance test be
conducted regularly when using any parasite treatment. Ask your local
veterinary
practitioner or animal health advisor for recommended parasite
management practices
