1. WHAT SUXAMETHONIUM CHLORID VUAB IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Suxamethonium chlorid VUAB 100 mg is powder for solution for
injection/infusion and belongs to
drugs known as muscle relaxants (relax muscle tension).
Product is used:
- to relax muscles during operations on adults and children
- to help insert a tube into the windpipe (endotracheal intubation),
if a person needs help to
breathe
- to reduce the intensity of muscle contractions and cramps relax.
Ask your doctor if you would like more explanation about this
medicine.
2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE SUXAMETHONIUM CHLORID
VUAB
SUXAMETHONIUM CHLORID VUAB SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO YOU:
- if you are allergic to suxamethonium chloride or any excipient of
this product (stated in section 6)
- if you are allergic to other muscle relaxants
- if you or your family have reacted badly to an anaesthetic before
such as a very high body
temperature (malignant hyperthermia)
- if you to have an inherited atypical plasma cholinesterase (enzyme)
activity
- if you have had a major accident, operation or
