INDICATIONS AS AT 01 JAN 1991 : For the treatment of megaloblastic anaemia, where this had been shown to be due to folic acid deficiency either due to inadequate dietary intake, malabsorption or increased utilisation, including pregnancy and lactation, haemolytic anaemia, hyperthyroidism, exfoliative dermatitis and chronic infection. For prophylaxis during pregnancy and lactation.
