® DUCAT
Live attenuated vaccine for cats.
A live freeze-dried vaccine, containing:
•
Live attenuated feline calicivirus (strain F9).
•
Live attenuated feline herpes virus type 1 (rhinotracheitis) (strain
G2620A).
It is presented as a freeze-dried pellet; each pack contains 5 [10,
25] single dose vials. Pack also
contains 5 [10, 25] corresponding 1 mL vials of diluent for
reconstitution prior to injection.
INDICATION
For active immunisation of cats to:
•
reduce clinical signs caused by an infection with feline calicivirus
(FCV) and feline herpes virus
type 1 (FHV).
•
and to reduce replication of feline calicivirus (FCV).
The onset of immunity is 4 weeks for FCV and FHV, following first
vaccination.
The duration of immunity is 1 year for FCV and FHV.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Nobivac Ducat is intended to be used as part of a 3 year vaccination
program with Nobivac Tricat
Trio.
Where Nobivac Tricat Trio is used for the primary vaccination, Nobivac
Ducat is used for targeted
viral cat flu protection for the in-between years. It is NOT intended
for primary vaccination of
kittens as it does not offer protection against feline panleucopaenia
virus. It can be used at 6

weeks of age if targeted protection against FCV and FHV is required,
followed by Nobivac Tricat
