For the symptomatic treatment of fever and inflammation in pigs. Indications YP Sodium Salicylate Soluble Powder for Pigs is effective in the treatment of inflammation in pigs, and also effective in the treatment of pain during fever and inflammation caused by viral or bacterial infections. YP Sodium Salicylate Soluble Powder for Pigs can be used in combination with concurrent antibiotic therapy in pigs. Net Contents: 200 g, 500 g, 1 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg Directions for Use: Restraints: Contraindications: This product should not be used: - in animals with known hypersensitivity to sodium salicylate. - in combination with drugs known to have anticoagulant properties. - in animals with severe liver and kidney affections. - in case of gastrointestinal ulcerations and chronic gastrointestinal disorders. - in case of malfunction of the hematopoietic system, coagulopathies, and haemorrhagic diathesis. RLP APPROVED Precautions: DO NOT use in piglets of less than 4 weeks of age. DO NOT use during pregnancy and lactation. Concurrent use with other NSAIDs or steroids should be avoided. Concurrent administration of potentially nephrotoxic drugs (e.g. aminoglycosides) should be avoided. Salicylic acid is highly plasma (albumin) bound and competes with a variety of compounds for plasma protein binding sites (e.g. ketoprofen). Sodium salicylate may inhibit clotting of blood, it is recommended that elective surgery should not be performed on animals within 7 days after the end of the treatment.
