TARGET SPECIES
Pigs (weaned piglets).
4.2
INDICATIONS FOR USE, SPECIFYING THE TARGET SPECIES
Treatment and prevention of infections caused by _Streptococcus suis _susceptible to amoxicillin in weaned
pigs.
The presence of disease in the herd should be confirmed before treatment.
4.3
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not administer to animals with a previous history of hypersensitivity to penicillins or other
antimicrobials of the β-lactam group.
Do not use in the presence of β-lactamase producing bacteria.
Do not use in animals with renal impairment.
Do not use in rabbits and rodents such as guinea pigs, hamsters or gerbils.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE IN ANIMALS
- Use of the veterinary medicinal product should be based on susceptibility testing and take into account
official and local antimicrobial policies.
- Use of the product deviating from the instructions given in the SPC may increase the prevalence of
bacteria resistant to amoxicillin.
- The intake of medication by animals can be altered as a consequence of illness.
