SITUATION FIRST AID: About Snail Pellet Safety: Taste Deterrent Discourages Children: 20,000 Smaller, Harder, Pellets: CAUTION: STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Garden plants and vegetables Most pellets that kill snails and slugs effectively can be harmful to humans, domestic animals and wildlife. The substantial wheat content of snail and slug pellets is not only very attractive to snails and slugs but is also attractive to pets and wildlife. For this reason dogs in particular are prone to snail pellet poisoning as a result of them being attracted to the wheat smell. Application of bait, where pets and wildlife are present, should be in small quantities, every 2-3 days, scattered between plants to minimise the risk of consumption whilst still effectively treating the snail and slug problems. These pellets contain Bitrex™, the bitterest substance known to man, to act as a taste deterrent to discourage consumption by children. Defender Snail & Slug Pellets are not only smaller, but spread further and are more difficult for pets to pick up from garden beds. Stor Læs hele dokumentet
