WHAT BENOSONE-N OINTMENT IS USED FOR BENOSONE-N OINTMENT is used for the relief of the inflammatory skin diseases when secondary infection is present. HOW BENOSONE-N OINTMENT WORKS BENOSONE-N OINTMENT contains a medicine called betamethasone valerate and neomycin sulphate. Betamethasone valerate belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-itch and blood vessels narrowing actions. Neomycin sulphate is an antibiotic that provides antibacterial activity against germs (bacteria) on skin. BEFORE YOU USE BENOSONE-N OINTMENT _ _ _-When you must not use it _ Do not take BENOSONE-N OINTMENT if: • You are hypersensitive to Neomycin Sulphate or any of this medicine related ingredients. It is recommended not to use for ophthalmic (eye) and external ear canal when the ear drum is perforated.
