Ascorbic acid
240 mg

CLINICAL PARTICULARS
_4.1 _
_THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS _

Mild to moderate painful symptoms such as headache, dental pain,
period pain,
sore throat associated with colds, muscular and joint pain.

Fever during infectious inflammatory disease.
Please note the information for children and adolescents (see section
4.4).
_4.2 _
_POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION _
_Adults and_ _children over 15 years:_
1-2 effervescent tablets as single dose. A maximum daily dose of 6
tablets must not
be exceeded.
The single dose can be taken at intervals of 4 to 8 hours if
necessary, up to a
maximum of 3 doses a day.
_Method of administration: _
For oral use. The effervescent tablet is to be dissolved in a glass of
water before
taking. Do not take on an empty stomach.
Aspirin C must not be taken for more than 4 days without consulting a
physician.

_CONTRAINDICATIONS _
•
Hypersensitivity to salicylates or to any other components of the
product,
•
History of asthma induced by the administration of salicylates or
substances with
a similar action, notably non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,
•
Acute gastrointestinal ulcers,
•
Hemorrhagic diathesis,
•
Severe liver and kidney failure,
•
Severe, non-stabilized heart failure,
•
Hemophilia,
•
Thrombocytopenia,
•
Concomitant treatment with methotrexate at doses of 15 mg/week or
more,
•
Last trimester of pregnancy,
•
Nephrolithiasis or history of nephrolithiasis,
•
Hyperoxaluria,
•
Hemochromatosis.
_4.4 _
_SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE _
_Concerning the use of acetylsalicylic acid _
Acetylsalicylic acid should be used with particular caution in the
following cases:
•
Hypersensitivity to other analgesics / anti-inflammatory or
antirheumatic drugs or
other allergenic substances,
•
Allergies (
