Self polishing technology ensures a continuous renewal of the active layer of the paint which results in a hull that stays cleaner for longer and without a heavy build up of old paint. RESTRAINT: DO NOT use on Aluminium/Alloy or Zinc sprayed surfaces. COMPATIBILITY May be applied over: Primocon. Special Note: Micron 66 must not be applied over any other antifoulings without first sealing them off with Primocon. Can be overcoated with: Itself. PREPARATION New Surfaces: Timber: Surfaces must be clean, dry and well sanded. Prime with Primocon. Epoxy Sheathed Timber/Epoxy Composite/Polyester GRP: Ensure all traces of release agent and/or amine bloom are removed from the surfaces using a suitable liquid detergent. Sand to remove gloss. Prime with lnterprotect. Steel: Grit blast to Australian Standard 1627.4 Class 2.5-3 or angle grind to bright shiny steel. Apply Primocon. Aluminium: Do not use this product. Important Notes: Refer to primer labels for details of primer application. Refer to filler labels and/or literature for any filling and fairing information required. Props and shafts: Ultra or Trilux are recommended , refer label data . Previously Antifouled Surfaces: Desalinate by fresh water -wash down. Follow by wet sanding with typically 150-180 grit if the surface is in sound condition or typically 80 grit if it is in poor condition . When the surface is free of old slime/fouling build up, any loose and flaking coatings and any other contamination, allow to dry thoroughly. Apply Primocon to the whole area to be coated with Micron 66. Vessels of suitable construction but incorporating aluminium out drive units. The Aluminium unit MUST be primed with lnterpro tect or Primocon.
