Each 10 mL dose contains 5 mg selenium. It is effective against parasites in sheep sensitive to this family. For the treatment and control of the following mature and immature (*includes inhibited L4. _A _ adults only) gastrointestinal and lungworm parasites: _Haemonchus contortus*_, _Trichostrongylus axei*, Trichostrongylus colubriformis*, Trichostrongylus _ _vitrinus*, Ostertagia (Teladorsagia) circumcincta*, Ostertagia trifurcata*, _ _Cooperia oncophora_ _A_ _, Cooperia curticei_ _A_ _, Cooperia punctata_ _A_ _, Nematodirus _ _spathiger*, Nematodirus filicollis*, Chabertia ovina*, Oesophagostomum _ _venulosum_ _A_ _, Trichuris ovis_ _A_ _ _and_ Strongyloides papillosus_ _A_ _, Dictyocaulus filaria*. _ When used at the recommended dose rates, EXODUS Se prevents reinfection with _Haemonchus contortus_ for 35 days and _Ostertagia_ (_Teladorsagia) _ _circumcincta_ for at least 21 days following a single oral dose. Also effective against itch mite (_Psorergates ovis_). EXODUS Se is effective against gastrointestinal nematodes which are resistant to benzimidazole and levamisole/morantel anthelmintic action families. It has also shown efficacy against a number of strains of _Haemonchus contortus_ and _Ostertagia_ spp. that are resistant to avermectins. Moxidectin shares a similar mechanism of action to the avermectins. It should not be used where avermectin resistance is present, except where specially recommended by an adviser.
