Product information
COMPOSITION
Each tablet contains 500 mg acetylsalicylic acid
INDICATIONS
For the symptomatic relief of headache, toothache, cold-related sore
throat,
period pain, muscular and joint pain, back pain, minor arthritis pain.
In common cold or influenza for the symptomatic relief of pain and
fever.
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
To be used when fever and necessary. If the symptoms are continued,
the
tablets can be taken every 4-6 hours. Administration frequency must be
not
more than 5 times within 24 hours.
Adults
500-1000 mg acetylsalicylic acid (1-2 tablets) as single dose.
A maximum daily dose of 4 g must not be exceed.
Adolescents
Over 12 years: 500-1000 mg acetylsalicylic acid (1-2 tablets) as
single dose.
Acetylsalicylic acid should not be used in children younger than 12
years.
Recommend to use small dosage at beginning and then adjust the dosage
depending on clinical syndrome.
Method of administration:
For oral use. The tablets should preferably be taken within 0.5 hours
after
meals, with plenty of liquid.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Acetysalicylic acid must not be used in the following cases:
● Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, or
to any other
components of the product,
● A history of asthma induced by the administration of salicylates
or sub-
stances with a similar action, notably non-steroidal anti-inflammatory
drugs,
● Acute peptic or gastrointestinal ulcers,
● Hemorrhagic diathesis,
● Severe renal failure,
● Severe hepatic failure,
● Severe cardiac failre,
● Combination with methotrexate at doses of 15 mg/week or more,
● Last trimester of pregnancy.
SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Acetylsalicylic acid should be used with particular caution in the
following
cases:
● Hypersensitivity to analgesics / anti-inflammatory agents /
antirheumatic
and in the presence of other allergies,
● History of gastro-intestinal ulcers including chronic or recurrent
ulcer
disease or history of gastro-intestinal bleedi
