WHAT XOTERNA BREEZHALER IS USED FOR
Xoterna Breezhaler contains the active
substances called indacaterol maleate and
glycopyrronium bromide. Indacaterol is a
long-acting beta

- adrenergic agonist and
glycopyrronium is a long-acting
muscarinic antagonist. The medicines,
indacaterol and glycopyrronium, belong to
a group of medicines called
bronchodilators.You use it with a device
called an inhaler (only use the Xoterna
Breezhaler inhaler contained in this pack).
The Xoterna Breezhaler inhaler enables
you to inhale the medicine contained in a
capsule.
Xoterna Breezhaler is used to make
breathing easier for people who have
breathing difficulties due to a lung disease
called chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease (COPD). When you inhale it, it
helps you breathe more easily. If you use
Xoterna Breezhaler once a day, it will help
to reduce the effects of COPD on your
everyday life.
HOW XOTERNA BREEZHALER WORKS
In COPD the muscles around the airways
tighten, making breathing difficult.
Xoterna breezhaler blocks tightening of
these muscles in the lungs and also relaxes
the muscles in the walls of the small air
passages in the lungs. This helps open up
the airways, making it easier for air to get
in and out.
