Manufacturer and Product Registration Holder 10. Date of revision WHAT BETA-N IS USED FOR Beta-N is used to help reduce the redness and itchiness of certain skin problems. These skin problems include itchy skin, red and itchy skin (allergic eczema), intense itching or skin redness affecting anal and genital area and rash on scalp, where an infection may be a problem. HOW BETA-N WORKS Betamethasone-17-valerate, a steroid with anti-inflammatory and anti-itch properties. It is applied on the surface of the skin to reduce the redness and itchiness caused by certain skin problems. Neomycin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria that causes common skin infection. BEFORE YOU USE BETA-N _-When you must not use it _ Allergic to neomycin, betamethasone, other steroids and ingredients of the product. In bacterial infections of the skin, fungus infections, viral infection, cowpox, chickenpox and in other cutaneous infections. _-Before you start to use it_ _Pregnancy and lactation_ Talk to you doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, might become pregnant or are breastfeeding. _ _ _-Taking other medicines _ Inform your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicines, including any that you get without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. HOW TO USE BETA-N _-How much to use _ Always use Beta-N exactly as your doctor has prescribed. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt. The usual dose: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area one to three times daily.
