This medicine is available without prescription, but you still need to
use Veno’s Honey and
Lemon Syrup carefully to get the best results from it.

WHAT VENO’S HONEY AND LEMON SYRUP DOES
Veno’s Honey and Lemon relieves the symptoms of tickly coughs and
sore throats. The
medicine contains three active ingredients: glucose liquid, honey and
lemon juice to help
relieve your symptoms.

CHECK BEFORE YOU TAKE VENO’S HONEY AND LEMON SYRUP
DO NOT TAKE VENO’S HONEY AND LEMON SYRUP:
IF YOU HAVE EVER HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION to glucose liquid, honey and
lemon juice or to
any of the other ingredients (listed in Section 6).
SODIUM METABISULPHITE (E223) MAY RARELY CAUSE SEVERE ALLERGIC
REACTIONS AND
BREATHING DIFFICULTIES.
TAKE SPECIAL CARE WITH VENO’S HONEY AND LEMON SYRUP
•
If you have DIABETES MELLITUS. Each 5 ml dose contains 4 G OF GLUCOSE
LIQUID.
PREGNANCY AND BREAST FEEDING
TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR before taking Veno’s Honey and Lemon Syrup if
you are PREGNANT or
BREASTFEEDING.

HOW TO TAKE VENO’S HONEY AND LEMON SYRUP
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
TAKE A 15 ML DOSE (THREE 5ML SPOONFULS) EVERY 2 TO 3 HOURS AS NEEDED.
DO NOT TAKE
MORE THAN 8 DOSES IN 24 HOURS.
Children aged 6 to under 12 years:
GIVE A 10 ML DOSE (TWO 5ML SPOONFULS) EVERY 2 TO 3 HOURS AS NEEDED. DO
NOT GIVE
MORE THAN 6 DOSES IN 24 HOURS.
Children aged 2 to under 6 years:
GIVE A 5 ML (ONE 5 ML SPOONFUL) EVERY 2 TO 3 HOURS AS NEEDED. DO NOT
GIVE MORE THAN 4
DOSES IN 24 HOURS.

4.1 Therapeutic indications
For the symptomatic relief of tickly coughs and sore throats.
4.2 Posology and method of administration
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
Oral
DOSAGE INSTRUCTIONS
_Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over:_
Take a 15 ml dose (three 5 ml spoonfuls) and repeat every two to three
hours.
Do not exceed 8 doses in any 24 hours.
_Children aged 6 to under 12 years:_
Take a 10 ml dose (two 5 ml spoonfuls) and repeat every two to three
hours.
Do not exceed 6 doses in any 24 hours.
_Children aged 2 to under 6 years:_
Take a 5 ml dose (one 5 ml spoonful) and repeat every two to three
hours.
Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24 hours. Do not exceed the stated dose.
Consult a pharmacist or other healthcare professional before use in
children under 6 years.
Do not take with any other cough and cold medicine.
Not to be given to children under two years of age.
4.3 Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to any of the constituents.
4.4 Special warnings and precautions for use
_Labelling _
Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Carbohydrate content: 3.5 g per 5 ml.
_Children aged 2 to under 6 years:_
Consult a pharmacist or other healthcare professional before use in
children under 6 years.
Do not take with any other cough and cold medicine.

interaction

4.6 Pregnancy and lactation
The product is not contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
However, the advice of a doctor
should be sought before use.
