WHAT SINUGEN IS USED FOR
Sinugen is used for temporary relief of sinus
congestion and pain. The antihistamine
helps to relieve the irritation of allergic
symptoms such as sneezing, itching and
watery eyes.
HOW SINUGEN_ _WORKS
Sinugen
_ _
contains pseudoephedrine
hydrochloride, chlorpheniramine maleate
and paracetamol. Paracetamol helps to
relieve pain and fever. Pseudoephedrine
hydrochloride is a nasal decongestant. It
works by causing the narrowing of the blood
vessels in the nasal passages.
Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks the effects
of histamine. Histamine is a chemical
released in the body during an allergic
reaction which causes itching and
inflammation.
BEFORE YOU USE SINUGEN_ _

Do not take

Sinugen if you are
- allergic to its active ingredients or to
other ingredients in it.

- taking, or have taken in the last two
weeks, drugs for depression known as
monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
- having high blood pressure.
- hyperthyroidism (a raised level of thyroid
hormone)
_- Before you start to use it _
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you
have any of the following medical
conditions:
- heart disease
- diabetes
- glaucoma (increased pressure within the
eye)
- impaired liver or kidney function
Safety for use in pregnancy and lactation
has not been established. Get advice from a
doctor or pharmacist. It should be avoided,
especially during the first trimester.
_- Taking other medicines _
This preparation contains PARACETAMOL.

Do not take any other paracetamol
containing medicines at the same time.
Tell your doctor if y
