WHAT PANADOL RAPID,
PANADOL RAPID

PANADOL RAPID
SOLUBLE ARE USED FOR
The active ingredient in these
medicines is paracetamol.
Paracetamol is used for the fast
effective temporary relief of pain and
discomfort associated with
•
Headache
•
Muscular aches
•
Period pain
•
Toothache
•
Migraine headache
•
Colds and flu
•
Tension headache
Paracetamol also reduces fever.
Paracetamol works to stop the pain
messages from getting through to the
brain. It also acts in the brain to
reduce fever.

Do not use this medicine if you are
taking any other prescription or non-
prescription medicines containing
paracetamol to treat pain, fever,
symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid
sleep.
ALWAYS READ AND FOLLOW THE LABEL.
PANADOL Rapid Soluble tablets
contain phenylalanine. Do not use it
if you are a phenylketonuric.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Panadol Rapid caplets
Film-coated tablet.
White to off-white capsule shaped film coated tablets with flat edges.
One face of the tablet
is debossed with the letter “P” and "--" on the other side.
Panadol Rapid Soluble tablets
Soluble tablet.
Large white round flat, 7/8” diameter, bevelled-edge tablet, plain
on both faces.

CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1 Therapeutic indications
For fast relief of acute pain.
Fast effective temporary relief of pain and discomfort associated with
headache/tension
headache, migraine headache, toothache, muscular aches, cold and flu
symptoms, sore
throat and period pain. Helps reduce fever.
4.2
Dose and method of administration
PANADOL Rapid caplets
_Adults and children aged 12 years and over:_ 2 caplets, orally, every
four to six hours with
water as required (maximum of 8 caplets in 24 hours). Maximum daily
dose: 4000 mg.
_Children under 12 years:_ Not recommended for children under the age
of 12 years.
PANADOL Rapid Soluble tablets
_Adults and children aged 12 years and over:_ 2 tablets dissolved in a
glass of water at room
temperature
every four
to
six
hours
as
required (maximum of
8
tablets
in
24
hours).
Maximum daily dose: 4000 mg.
_Children under 12 years:_ Not recommended for children under the age
of 12 years.
General Dosage Instructions:
Adults:
Do not use for more than a few days at a time without medical advice.
Children 12-17 years:
Do not use for more than 48 hours except on medical advice.
