This medicine has been prescribed to treat your ailment. Do

Rosuvastatin Inovamed is not intended for children and
adolescents under 18 years of age.
1. WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?
Rosuvastatin Inovamed is intended for the treatment of
adults with:
•
Primary hypercholesterolemia )type IIa including
heterozygous
familial
hypercholesterolemia(
)conditions
in
which
there
is
a
high
level
of
cholesterol
in
the
blood(
or mixed dyslipidemia type IIb )disorder in the level of
various blood lipids(. The medicine is given as an adjunct
to diet in conditions when the response to diet and other
non-pharmacological treatments )e.g., exercise for weight
reduction( is inadequate.
•
Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia )a condition
in which there is a high level of cholesterol in the blood(
in combination with diet and other blood lipid-lowering
treatments )e.g., LDL apheresis( or if such treatments are
not appropriate.
