Unless otherwise stated, the information in this
patient package insert applies to both RIZATRIPTAN
INOVAMED 10 MG tablets and RIZATRIPTAN
ORODISPERSIBLE INOVAMED 10 MG orodispersible
tablets.

USING THE MEDICINE.
• This leaflet contains concise information about
the medicine. If you have further questions, refer
to your doctor or pharmacist.
• This medicine has been prescribed to treat you. Do
not pass it on to others. It may harm them, even if it
seems to you that their medical condition is similar.
• This medicine is intended for adults above the age
of 18.
1. WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?
Rizatriptan is used for the acute treatment of migraine
attacks in adults, with or without aura.
Rizatriptan is not to be used to prevent migraine
attacks.
Rizatriptan is not for the treatment of hemiplegic or
basilar migraines.
It is not known if Rizatriptan is safe and effective for
the treatment of cluster headaches.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP: A class of medicines called
selective 5-HT
1B/1D
receptor agonists or triptans.
2. BEFORE USING THE MEDICINE
DO NOT USE RIZATRIPTAN IF:
- you are sensitive )allergic( to the active ingredient
or any of the additional ingredients contained in
the medicine, which are listed in section 2 and
section 6.
- you have or have had heart problems.
- you are having or have had a stroke or a transient
ischemic attack )
