EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine protects against gastric mucosal injury by increasing
the prostaglandin E
2
content and exerting a cytoprotective effect on the gastric mucosa.
The medicine also
increases the amount of gastric mucus and stimulates gastric mucosal
blood flow to improve
impaired hemodynamics, thus helps to suppress inflammation and repair
the gastric mucosa.
This medicine is usually used for treatment of gastric ulcer and for
improvement of gastric
mucosal lesions (erosion, bleeding, redness and edema) in acute
gastritis and acute
exacerbation of chronic gastritis.
