Fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes such as trichophyton (e.g. T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. violaceum) Microsporum canis and Epidemophyton floccosum. Yeast infections of the skin principally those caused by the genus Candida (e.g. candida albicans). Pityriasis (tinea versicolor) due to pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as malassezia furfur). For the treatment of plantar-type tinea pedis (Moccasin type).

This medicine is dispensed without a doctor's prescription
PITRIYA-T
NAME OF ACTIVE INGREDIENT AND CONCENTRATION PER DOSAGE UNIT:
terbinafine hydrochloride 1% w/w
Inactive ingredients and allergens: see section 2 under ‘Important
information about
some of this medicine’s ingredients’, and section 6 ‘Additional
information’.
READ THE ENTIRE LEAFLET CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START USING THIS
MEDICINE. This leaflet
contains concise information about this medicine. If you have any
further questions,
consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Use this medicine according to the instructions in the section about
dose in this
leaflet. Consult your pharmacist if you need further information.
Consult your doctor if
your symptoms of illness get worse or do not improve within one week.
1. WHAT IS THE MEDICINE INTENDED FOR?
This medicine is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent for the treatment
of fungal
infections of the skin.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP: antifungal.
2. BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE
DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE IF:
•
You are sensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or to any of the
other
ingredients in this medicine.
SPECIAL WARNINGS ABOUT USING THIS MEDICINE
BEFORE STARTING TREATMENT WITH PITRIYA-T TELL YOUR DOCTOR IF you have
any other
disease or any allergies.
•
Pitriya-T is not recommended for use in children under 12 years old.
•
This medicine is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with
the eyes.
In case of contact with eyes, immediately rinse your eyes thoroughly
with
running water. Consult your doctor if you feel any discomfort.
•
Consult your doctor if you have widespread fungus on your foot or if
the
fungal infection also affects your nails.
•
Do not apply any other medicines to the treated areas on your skin.
CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
There is no information about the safety and efficacy of using this
medicine in
children under 12 years old.
