The radiopaque guidewire is inserted into the patient and then advanced to the desired location. Once in position, other compatible devices can be advanced over or along the length of the guidewire to perform the desired procedure. A torque device is included with the guidewire to facilitate directional manipulation of the guidewire. An introducer device is included to introduce the guidewire into the catheter or hemostatic valve, and can be used to shape the flexible tip of the guide wire. For selective placement of microcatheters and other devices in the neuro and peripheral vasculature.
