This medicine has been prescribed
to treat your ailment. Do not pass it
on to others. It may harm them even
if it seems to you that their ailment
is similar.
The medicine is not intended for use
in children under 18 years of age.
1. WHAT
IS
THE
MEDICINE
INTENDED FOR?
For the treatment of mild to moderate
hypertension.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP:
Calcium channel blockers of the
dihydropyridine group.
2. B E F O R E
U S I N G
T H E
MEDICINE
DO NOT USE THE MEDICINE IF:
∙ You are pregnant or breastfeeding,
think you are pregnant, are
planning a pregnancy or do not
use contraceptives.
∙ You are sensitive (allergic) to
the active ingredient or to any
of the other ingredients of the
medicine (see section 6), or to
other medicines from this group,
such as: amlodipine, nicardipine,
felodipine, isradipine, nifedipine
or lacidipine.
∙ You suffer from certain heart
diseases, such as: uncontrolled
heart failure, an obstruction
of blood flow from the heart,
unstable angina (angina at rest
or which gradually increases),
or within one month of a heart
attack.
∙ You suffer from a severe liver or
kidney disease.
∙ You are concomitantly taking:
cyclosporine,
antifungal
medicines, such as ketoconazole
or
itraconazole,
macrolide
antibiotics such as erythromycin
or troleandomycin, antiviral
medicines such as ritonavir.
∙ You consume grapefruits or
grapefruit juice.
