WHAT FERROTAB_ _IS USED FOR
For prevention and treatment of iron
deficiency anemia resulting from inadequate
diet, reduced absorption, pregnancy and
blood loss.
HOW FERROTAB_ _WORKS
Iron is an essential component in formation
of hemoglobin (red component of blood
cells), adequate amounts of which are
necessary for effective making of red blood
cells in the body and oxygen transport of the
blood.
BEFORE YOU USE FERROTAB_ _
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take

Ferrotab:
- if allergic to any ingredients in the tablet.
_ _
- in conditions of hemochromatosis
(hereditary disorder when iron is
deposited in tissues), hemosiderosis (iron
overload disorder) and other conditions,
unless accompanied by iron deficiency.
- if receiving iron supplement by injection.
_- Before you start to use it _
- Careful if there is impaired liver function,
gastrointestinal disease and intestinal
ulcer.
- Avoid regular use of large amounts of
iron supplements several times daily for
more than 6 months unless approved by
doctor.
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
- ascorbic acid
- oral tetracyclines (antibiotic)
- antacid (for gastric ulcer)
- tea
HOW TO USE FERROTAB_ _
_- How much to use _
Adults: prevention: oral, 200–300mg daily.
Treatment: oral, 200mg 3 or 4 times daily,
the dosage being adjusted gradually, as
needed and tolerated. Children 6–12 years:
prevention: oral, 100mg daily. Treatment:
oral, 100mg 3 times daily, or as directed.
