ANCILLARY PANELS
INDICATIONS:
CLOSICARE contains Closantel, a member of the Salicylanilides group of
drenches. It is
effective against sensitive strains of the following internal
parasites:
-
adult
and
immature
Barber’s
pole
worms
(_Haemonchus _
_contortus_).
CLOSICARE
provides sustained protection against re-infestation of Barber’s
pole worm in sheep for 4
weeks after dosing.
- adult and immature liver fluke (_Fasciola hepatica_) including six
week old stages.
- all stages of nasal bots (_Oestrus ovis_) in sheep.
Resistance may develop to any drench. Ask your local veterinary
practitioner or animal
health adviser for recommended parasite management practices for your
area to reduce
development of resistance. It is advisable that a drench resistance
test be conducted
before any drench is used.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
CLOSICARE dose rate is 1 mL/5kg body weight. CLOSICARE is ready to use
and does
not require mixing. CLOSICARE can be used at the recommended doses in
sheep of all
ages including pregnant ewes.
RESTRAINTS:
MILK: DO NOT USE IN EWES WHICH ARE PRODUCING OR MAY IN THE FUTURE
PRODUCE MILK
OR MILK PRODUCTS FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
