Препоръчва се Рапамун да бъдат използвани в комбинация с микроэмульсией циклоспорина и с кортикостероиди в продължение на 2 до 3 месеца. Рапамун може да бъде продължено като поддържаща терапия с кортикостероиди, само ако циклоспорин микроэмульсия може постепенно да бъде прекратено. Рапамун е показан за лечение на пациенти с единични лимфангиолейомиоматоз с умерена болест на белите дробове или намалена функция на белите дробове .
