Se está a tomar inibidores da protease do
VIH, tal como o atazanavir (para o trata-
mento da infecção pelo VIH) simultanea-
mente com o pantoprazol, consulte o seu
médico para um aconselhamento específico.
•
tomar um inibidor da bomba de protões
como o pantoprazol, especialmente duran-
te um período de mais de um ano, pode au-
mentar ligeiramente o risco de fractura da
anca, punho ou coluna vertebral. Informe o
seu médico se tem osteoporose ou se esti-
ver a tomar corticosteróides (o que pode au-
mentar o risco de osteoporose).
•
se estiver a tomar Panto-Denk 20 há mais
de três meses, é possível que os níveis de
magnésio no sangue possam diminuir. Ní-
veis baixos de magnésio podem ser obser-
vados como fadiga, contracções musculares
involuntárias, desorientação, convulsões,
tonturas ou aumento da frequência cardía-
ca. Se tiver algum destes sintomas, informe
o seu médico imediatamente. Níveis baixos
de magnésio podem também originar uma
redução dos níveis de potássio ou de cálcio
no sangue. O seu médico pode decidir reali-
zar exames de sangue regulares para moni-
torizar os seus níveis de magnésio.
•
se alguma vez tiver tido uma reacção na pele
após o tratamento com um medicamento
que reduz o ácido do estômago semelhante
ao Panto-Denk 20.
• se tiver uma erupção na pele, especialmen-
te em áreas expostas ao sol, informe o seu
médico o mais rapidamente possível, pois
pode precisar de parar o seu tratamento com
Panto- Denk 20. Lembre-se também de men-
cionar quaisquer outros efeitos indesejáveis,
como dor nas articulações.
• se está previsto fazer uma análise específica
ao sangue (Cromogranina A).
Informe de imediato o seu médico, antes ou
depois de tomar este medicamento, se notar
qualquer um dos seguintes sintomas, que po-
dem ser um sinal de outra doença mais grave:
• uma perda de peso involuntária
• vómitos, particularmente se repetidos
• vómitos com sangue; pode ter o aspecto de
borras de café escuras no seu vómito

4.1
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
•
For the treatment of mild reflux disease and associated symptoms (e.g.
heartburn, acid re-
gurgitation, dysphagia).
•
For long-term therapy and prevention of relapse in reflux
oesophagitis.
•
Prevention
of
gastroduodenal
ulcers
induced
by
non-selective
non-steroidal
anti-
inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients at risk requiring continuous
treatment with
NSAIDs (see section 4.4).
4.2
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS AGED 12 YEARS AND OLDER

Mild reflux disease and associated symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid
regurgitation, dysphagia)
The recommended oral dosage is 1 Panto-Denk 20 gastro-resistant tablet
daily. Symptomatic
improvement is generally achieved within 2-4 weeks and a 4-week period
of treatment is usu-
ally required for the healing of associated oesophagitis. If this is
not sufficient, healing will
normally be achieved within a further 4 weeks.
Once symptomatic relief has been achieved, recurrent symptoms can be
controlled - as needed
- with 20 mg pantoprazole once daily. If adequate symptom control
cannot be maintained with
on-demand treatment, a switch to maintenance therapy should be
considered
Long-term treatment and prevention of relapse in reflux oesophagitis

In long-term therapy, a maintenance dose of 1 Panto-Denk 20
gastro-resistant tablet daily is
recommended, which can be increased to 40 mg pantoprazole in the event
of a relapse. Panto-
prazol Denk 40 mg is available for such cases. After healing of the
recurrent episode, the dos-
age can again be reduced to 20
