DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The Needle’s Eye Snare® is comprised of a stainless steel/nitinol
wire retrieval
mechanism housed within two telescoping TFE sheaths, a protective 8 Fr
sheath and a removable 12 Fr straight inner femoral sheath that may be
advanced forward to close the retrieval mechanism. The retrieval
mechanism
consists of a “needle’s eye” loop and “threader.” The snare
is used through a
16 Fr TFE introducer sheath which incorporates a hemostasis valve into
its
proximal end and has either a straight or curved distal segment.
Additional
introducer set components (needle, wire guide, dilator) are used for
vessel
entry.
For model LR-NES541 only, a length appropriate 12 Fr Curved Inner
Sheath
is included.
For models: LR-NES001, LR-NES002, LR-SSN001, LR-SSN002, a 12 Fr Curved
Inner Femoral Sheath and a Curved 16 Fr Introducer Sheath Set are
available
separately.
