Bee protection: ANSES makes recommendations to strengthen the regulatory framework

As part of the Government's action plan on plant protection products and reduced dependence on pesticides in agriculture, ANSES is today publishing the results of its expert appraisal and its recommendations to strengthen the regulatory framework for the protection of bees and other pollinating insects. The aim of these recommendations is to further reduce bee exposure to plant protection products.

Vandaag start de nieuwe landelijke campagne ‘Het houdt niet op, totdat je iets doet’ die mensen oproept in actie te komen bij vermoedens van huiselijk geweld en kindermishandeling.  Bewustwording en in actie komen is belangrijk. Uit recent onderzoek van het WODC blijkt dat huiselijk geweld en kindermishandeling nog steeds op grote schaal voor komt. Dat schrijven minister Hugo de Jonge (VWS) en minister Sander Dekker (Rechtsbescherming) in een brief aan de Tweede Kamer.

ANSES recommends improving baby diaper safety

Today, ANSES published its assessment of the risks of chemicals found in baby diapers. Based on tests conducted on disposable diapers and their use, the Agency’s assessment highlighted several chemicals for which safety threshold values were exceeded. With regard to the possible risks of these chemicals to baby health, ANSES recommends eliminating these latter or reducing their levels as much as possible in disposable diapers.

3 miljoen voor pilots centra huiselijk geweld en kindermishandeling

In de strijd tegen huiselijk geweld maakt het kabinet 3 miljoen euro vrij voor de ontwikkeling van drie centra voor slachtoffers en plegers van huiselijk geweld en kindermishandeling. De centra komen in de regio’s Hart van Brabant, Rotterdam-Rijnmond en Kennemerland. Met het geld gaan zij hun aanpak verbreden. De pilots zullen in het eerste kwartaal van 2019 starten.
