Twist
dispensers loosely around branches within one metre of
the
top
of
the tree
canopy
(mature trees) or in the upper third of the
canopy
(young trees). Dispensers should be applied
evenly throughout the crop. Allow for seasonal
growth of the tree when
deciding
the position
of the dispensers. Useimmediately prior to the first
moth
emergence
in spring. Monitor moth
flights in the orchard using terpinyl
acetate/
sugar lure pots
and
shoot strikeassessments. The
results
of
monitoring
depend
on the dimensions of
the lure pots
and
the number of
shoots
inspected respectively.

shoot
strikes
exceed
the
recommended
thresholds,
apply
an insecticide registered for control
of
Oriental
FruitMoth
