Apa kegunaan Apo-Terazosin

Terazosin digunakan untuk

merawat tekanan darah tinggi.

Terazosin juga digunakan untuk

merawat pembesaran kelenjar

prostat (hiperplasia prostat

benigna atau BPH).

Bagaimana Apo-Terazosin

berfungsi

Terazosin mengendurkan saluran

darah, membenarkan darah untuk

melaluinya dengan lebih lancar.

Untuk BPH, terazosin membantu

untuk mengendurkan otot-otot di

dalam kelenjar prostat dan pundi

kencing. Ini dapat membantu

melancarkan pengaliran urin dan

mengurangkan simptom BPH.

Terazosin tidak melambatkan atau

menghentikan pembesaran

kelenjar prostat.

Sebelum menggunakan Apo-

Terazosin

- Bila tidak boleh menggunakan

Ubat ini tidak boleh diambil oleh

mereka yang alah kepada

terazosin.

- Sebelum mula menggunakan

Beritahu doktor anda jika:

Anda sedang hamil,

bercadang untuk hamil, atau

sedang menyusu anak.

- Jika mengambil ubat-ubat lain

Ubat-ubat yang berikut boleh

mempengaruhi keberkesanan

terazosin atau meningkatkan

risiko mendapat kesan sampingan:

Ubat-ubat lain yang berfungsi

menurunkan tekanan darah

(antihipertensi)

verapamil

Cara menggunakan Apo-

Terazosin

- Berapa banyak harus digunakan

Dos terazosin yang disyorkan

untuk merawat tekanan darah

tinggi bagi pesakit dewasa

bermula pada 1 mg sebelum tidur

dan perlahan-lahan ditingkatkan

sehingga respon tekanan darah

yang diinginkan diperoleh.

Jumlah dos yang biasa ialah

antara 1 mg ke 5 mg sehari.

Dos terazosin yang disyorkan

untuk merawat pembesaran

kelenjar prostat bermula pada 1

mg sebelum tidur, dan

ditingkatkan dalam selang

seminggu kepada 2 mg, 5 mg,

atau 10 mg sekali sehari untuk

mendapatkan penambahbaikkan

simptom yang diinginkan.

Bila perlu digunakan

Ikut arahan doktor atau ahli

farmasi anda.

- Berapa lama perlu digunakan

Jangan hentikan pengambilan

ubat ini tanpa merujuk kepada

doktor anda terlebih dahulu.

Penghentian secara tiba-tiba boleh

menyebabkan keadaan anda

menjadi lebih teruk.

- Jika terlupa menggunakan

Ambil dos yang tertinggal sebaik

sahaja anda teringat semula.

Jika sudah hampir masa untuk

pengambilan dos seterusnya, anda

tidak perlu ambil dos yang sudah

terlepas. Hanya ambil dos yang

seterusnya pada waktu yang

ditetapkan. Jangan ambil dos

berganda.

- Jika mengambil berlebihan

(terlebih dos)

Jika terlebih dos, dalam semua

kes, rawatan ini perlu dihentikan

dan anda perlu menghubungi

doktor anda atau pergi ke

bahagian kecemasan pada hospital

yang berdekatan dengan segera.

Ambil ubat anda mengikut arahan

doktor.

Maklumkan kepada semua doktor,

doktor gigi dan ahli farmasi yang

merawat anda bahawa anda

sedang menggunakan Apo-

Terazosin.

Beritahu doktor anda dengan

segera jika anda menjadi hamil

semasa menggunakan ubat ini.

Perkara yang tidak boleh

dilakukan

Jangan berhenti menggunakan

ubat ini kecuali diarahkan oleh

doktor anda.

Jangan mula mengambil sebarang

ubat baru tanpa berbincang

dengan doktor atau ahli farmasi

anda.

Jangan berkongsi Apo-Terazosin

dengan sesiapa, walaupun mereka

mempunyai simptom atau

penyakit yang sama.

Perkara yang perlu diberi

perhatian

Pengambilan beberapa dos

terazosin yang pertama boleh

menyebabkan pengurangan

tekanan darah yang melampau,

terutama selepas bangun daripada

posisi baring atau duduk.

Kadangkala kehilangan kesedaran

juga mungkin terjadi. Jika

simptom-simptom ini berlaku,

baringkan badan dan tunggu

beberapa minit sebelum berdiri

untuk mengelakkan perkara ini

daripada berlaku semula, dan

bangun secara perlahan-lahan.

Kesan sampingan

Kesan sampingan berikut akan

hilang setelah badan anda menjadi

biasa dengan ubat ini; rujuk

kepada doktor anda sekiranya

kesan sampingan ini berlanjutan

atau memberi gangguan.

Kesan sampingan yang paling

serius yang dihadapi adalah

pengsan, tetapi sangat jarang

berlaku.

Kesan sampingan yang lain

termasuk pening, sakit kepala,

hidung tersumbat, sakit dada,

edema, berpeluh, atau penglihatan

kabur.

Senarai ini tidak mengandungi

kesan sampingan yang lengkap

dan kesan lain juga mungkin

berlaku. Beritahu doktor anda

tentang sebarang kesan

sampingan yang luar biasa atau

mengganggu.

lebihan ubat ini selepas anda

hentikan pengambilannya atas

arahan doktor atau kerana anda

dapati ubat ini telah melepasi

tarikh luputnya, sila rujuk kepada

ahli farmasi anda tentang langkah

1 mg: setiap satu tablet berwarna

putih, berbentuk bulat, permukaan

leper dan bersisi serong, berukir

“APO” pada satu permukaan dan

“T1” pada satu lagi. Mengandungi

1 mg terazosin sebagai terazosin

hidroklorida.

2 mg: setiap satu tablet berwarna

jingga, berbentuk bulat, leper dan

bersisi serong, berukir “APO”
