WHAT COUNTERPAIN PATCH IS USED
FOR
Counterpain Patch is used to relief
of aches and pains in muscles and
joints
associated
with
lumbago,
bruise,
sprain,
stiff
shoulder,
arthralgia,
aching
muscle,
muscle
fatigue,
chilblains,
bone-fracture
pains.
HOW COUNTERPAIN PATCH WORKS
Counterpain
Patch
contains
the
active ingredients Glycol Salicylate
1.4% w/w, l-Menthol 4.9% w/w, dl-
Camphor 0.9% w/w and Tocopherol
Acetate (Vitamin E) 2.0% w/w.
GLYCOL
SALICYLATE a
salicylic acid
derivative used similarly to methyl
salicylate
in
topical
rubefacient
preparations
for
the
relief
of
muscular and rheumatic pain.
L-MENTHOL
is an organic compound
that occurs naturally in mint plants,
but
it
can
also
be
made
synthetically.
When applied to the skin menthol
dilates the blood vessels, causing a
sensation of
coldness followed by
an analgesic effect.
DL-CAMPHOR acts as a rubefacient
and mild analgesic.
TOCOPHEROL ACETATE is a powerful
antioxidant
that
plays
a
role
in
immune function, DNA repair, and
cell-membrane stabilization.
