picking in

Birds. Feather picking
is
characterised
by
the
loss
or
damage
of
feathers
on
the
body
and
neck
with
normal
feathers
on
the
head.
Feather picking can be
the
result
of
many
underlying
causes
including
nutritional
deficiencies,
parasites
(mites
and
lice), bacterial, fungal
or
viral infections, psychogenic
problems
sud1
as
boredom,
stress,
sexual
frustration
etc.
The
underlying
causes
must
be
addressed
to
eliminate
the
problem.
For
example:
remove
environmental
stress
