claims:
For prevention and correction of selenium deficiency in sheep.
Selenium deficiency in sheep may give rise to:
1. White muscle disease or nutritional muscular dystrophy in lambs.
2. "Ill thrift" in young sheep.
3. Poor growth rate in lambs.
4. Periodontal disease (weak teeth) - adult sheep.
5. Diminished wool growth.

Contraindications:
This product is contraindicated:
for use in lambs under two months of age.
when selenium intake from pasture is high or selenium is provided by
other means (such as top pasture dressing, vaccines or selenium
drenches) or if sheep blood selenium levels are high. Users can
determine selenium status of their sheep by consulting their
veterinarian.
Precautions:
Important: Do not use excessive force when dosing in order to avoid
trauma and
damage to the throat of the animal.

Dosage &
Administration:
Sheep all ages - 1 pellet every 3 years.
Dose as soon as convenient after 8 weeks of age. Repeat dose on
veterinary
advice.
General directions:
To be effective the pellet must be swallowed. It is recommended that
pellets be
administered using the Coopers
®
Sheep Pellet Applicator. It is important to
carefully read the applicator use instruction leaflet enclosed in
container before
use.
It is recommended that a steel grinder be administered when treating
sheep with
the combination of Permatrace pellets outlined in the table below.
