PKU START Prášek pro perorální roztok

PKU start is an amino acid based powdered phenylalanine free *

formula containing other essential and non-essential amino acids,

carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, arachidonic acid

(ARA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

PKU start is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary

management of Phenylketonuria (PKU).

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

To be determined by the clinician or dietitian and is dependent on the

age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Use under medical supervision.

Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition.

Suitable from birth.

PKU start must only be consumed by individuals with proven PKU in

conjunction with breast milk or infant formula to provide the

phenylalanine, fluid and general nutritional requirements of the infant

in quantities as advised by a clinician or dietitian.

For enteral use only.

STORAGE

Unopened: PKU start should be stored in a cool, dry place.

Once opened: Use within 3 weeks. Always replace container lid after use.

PKU start is een poedervormige fenylalaninevrije* voeding op basis

van aminozuren en bevat essentiële en niet-essentiële aminozuren,

koolhydraten, vetten, mineralen, spoorelementen, arachidonzuur

(ARA) en docosahexaeenzuur (DHA).

PKU start is voeding voor medisch gebruik. Dieetvoeding bij

fenylketonurie (PKU).

DOSERING

Dient bepaald te worden door de arts/diëtist(e) en is afhankelijk van

de leeftijd, het gewicht en de medische conditie van de patiënt.

BELANGRIJK ADVIES

Enkel te gebruiken onder medisch toezicht.

Niet geschikt als enige voedingsbron. Niet geschikt voor parenteraal

gebruik.

Enkel te gebruiken door personen met fenylketonurie, vanaf de

geboorte.

AANDACHT:

PKU start mag niet gebruikt worden als enige voedingsbron, maar

moet samen met borstvoeding of zuigelingenvoeding gegeven

worden om te voldoen aan de dagelijkse behoefte aan fenylalanine,

vocht alsook de algemene nutritionele behoeften van de zuigeling

zoals geadviseerd door de behandelaar (arts en/of diëtist(e)).

BEWARING

Ongeopend: PKU start moet bewaard worden op een koele, droge

plaats.

Eenmaal geopend: te gebruiken binnen de drie weken. Hersluit het

blik na gebruik.

Verpakt onder beschermende atmosfeer.
